You've probably heard of Drew Carey, right? But what about Drew Olanoff?

On May 20, 2009 a man by the name of Drew Olanoff was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Since that time, he has decided to "auction off" his Twitter name - "Drew." The winning bidder's money will be donated to the Live Strong Foundation. Why Live Strong? Because Olanoff says Live Strong has been by his side since his diagnosis. Although selling your Twitter name is against Twitter's Terms of Service, Olanoff received Twitter's blessing. (Way to go, Twitter!)

Now here is where Drew Carey comes into play. Carey, hearing of Olanoff's offer, decided to get involved. He originally promised $100,000 for 100,000 Twitter followers, but has since said that if he gets 1,000,000 Twitter followers by December 31, 2009, he will donate $1,000,000 to the Live Strong Foundation (by bidding on Drew's Twitter name).

So....c'mon people. If you don't have Twitter, now is as good a reason to get it, don't you think?
