Never been a hypochrondriac, but...

You know, I've never been a hypochrondriac, and I haven't been one that has a low pain threshold, but lately, I've been looking more and more like an MMA fighter than anything else. No, I don't walk around with busted lips or a swollen and broken nose. It's more or less random bruises that just show up, and I'm not talking little bruises. Within the past hour and a half, I scratched something on my hand...I'm bruised. The inside of my calf near my knee? A conglomeration of bruises (that part of my leg doesn't hit my bike at all). My shin? A raised bruise. Back of my thigh? The remnants of a gnarly and wicked dark purple bruise.

I noticed them when I was in NY for my cousin's wedding. Having had an iron deficiency/leukemia scare as a child, I popped in and got some hi-octane, OTC iron supplements and started taking them (I'm trying not to eat a lot of red meat, and have been slacking off on my spinach, etc. for iron intake).

I didn't expect an overnight success story, but it looks as though it's time to pop into the doc's for some bloodwork to see what's going on. It's probably just some anemia or something due to my diet change, etc. I don't have standard symptoms of anemia though.

I just don't want to end up one giant bruise!
