Lovely scam calls.

Well, my day keeps getting more and more "interesting."

My mother just called to yell at me for "ordering medication from the internet." I said, "excuse me?" She proceeded to tell me that some (insert ethnic slur here that I had never heard of and won't use) woman called to tell me that she was from an online pharmacy and to be expecting the FedEx package of the medications I ordered online from their company in the mail. My mother freaked out and asked to speak to the person's supervisor and said, "you have the wrong address anyways. No Shelby lives here!" and hung up the phone.

My mother doesn't isn't exactly well-versed in internet and phone scams. Chances are this scam company got my phone number off Monster.com or some other online public career site that I posted my resumé on prior to getting my current job. I told her that no, I did not order medications off the internet (d'uh) and that it was a scam.

That makes two scam calls to my parents' house and at least four scam calls to my cell phone (i.e. "I am Yenneefur Smeeth calling from the U.S. Department of Treasury Agency.")
